Not sure how many of you have heard of these yet, just announced last week but seem available for purchase.

I've been looking for something to replace the 85/15 in my PRS core CU24 and think these might be worth a shot. Thoughts? Seems a combination of ceramic and alnico.

I'm a huge fan of the Mojotone Tomahawks in my DW CE24, so was sort of leaning towards Mojotone to begin with.

I'm curious as to whether these use A5 mags with ceramic spacers. Their PW Hornet humbuckers were described as combining alnico with ceramic and I'd figured that was the situation with those, but it turns out the Hornet bridge is ceramic and the neck is alnico.

EDIT: After listening to the demo, I imagine that's a ceramic bridge too.

I thought he was with Lace?

Either way, I think chugging on the neck pickup in gear demos is kinda silly, LOL.

Haven’t watched the video, but if I was demoing an EMG 81 or a BKP Nailbomb in the neck, I’d include that because they both do it really well.

Well, each to his own, but the one on this video just sounded like... chugging on a neck pickup, LOL.

For me it's kinda like those demos where they do cleans on the bridge pickup. As decent as they can make it sound, they flip to the neck pickup and it's instantly better, LOL. So why even bother.

But each to his own. As much as I don't doubt the 81 sounds OK doing chuggs in the neck, there's no way I'd pick it over an 81 in the bridge. At least not for the kind of metal that I'm into.

I get what you're saying. The worst one is when someone's demoing a guitar with a 5 way, and they play the exact same boring chord progression with all 5 positions.

I think our preferred metal types probably aren't all that different, and I'm definitely not advocating for neck riffing over the bridge, just saying there are a couple pickups I've encountered where it's not the woofy, muddy mess it typically is.
