New (MUCH BETTER) Tweak Fuzz Clip!

Hey dudes. I posted some kinda crappy quality Tweak Fuzz clips before. I was using dynamic mics before, and I am hating the sound of those. All the guitar tracks in this clip were recorded in my garage with an M-Audio Luna Condensor Microphone. The amp was REALLY quiet on these clips, which makes it even cooler that these tones came out.

Anybody else hearing recent ZZ Top in those tones?

That sounds really good~! I dig the tone. What did the dynamic mics do to your tone? Aren't dynamic mics sort of the standard mics used to record electric guitar?

this may sound like odd or u may say what?
but that sounds a little bit like some older kenny wayne shepherd stuff, cant put my finger on the song name but it kinda sounds like that man!

Yeah, I was using Shure sm78s and 58s to try to record my amp, but I hated the tones i was getting. They were super grainy and mushy and gross. It must just be the preamps i'm using, or maybe my amp just isn't suited to that sort of thing. A dynamic mic picks up sounds that are very close to it, and only picks up in a certain direction. A condensor mic picks up sounds from the whole room in a much wider range. I can't say why it sounds better for this setup of mine, but it really does.

haha, no, that isn't bad. Don't worry, this isn't like a "song" for me. It's just a clip to show people the tones I was getting with my tweak fuzz using a better micing technique.
