New Mullard vs TAD 12AX7

Just replaced the TAD with one of the new Mullards in V3 (clean channel) of my Orange TH30, and the difference is immediate but subtle. I find the Mullard has a little more musicality to it and isn't quite as dark as the TAD. It's not a massive difference but it's definitely noticeable. Both are nice, but from the initial impression I think I'll stick with the Mullard for now. I'll know more after gigging with it this weekend.

Just thought some of you tube junkies would like to know!

You would notice more difference in V1 and in the PI position, IMHO.

Yes that's true but I'm happy with what's in those positions now.

Ok I have a Fender Custom Vibrolux Reissue, How do I determine the tube positions? Such as V1, V2 etc.

V1 is closest to the input jack.
