Good luck with it.... I've heard a lot of good things about them.
I made my own boards. My first one was a little involved. I use it in 2 amps so I needed to ba able to switch between the 2 and at the time I could not find a produced board that would do what I wanted so I made my own. The second one is pretty basic.... I don't use a lot of effects I use a CE2, a DD3, a TS9, wah and tuner. Plugged into a Deluxe Reverb.
I would highly recommend using George L cables. They are very easy to use and are dead quiet! Good luck!

Did you get the PP or the PPII?
Can you post a pic of the NVC? I'm not sure I've seen it.
Remember my story about how a string landed in a power strip and turned the string into a bolt of lightning? I screwed up my pedalboard, because the string turned into a gray dust trail and landed on my case's lid. There's a big stripe melted across the top of the ozite covering now. Oh well!

I got the Pedal Power 2...I hope it does what I need it to do!
As for the board if you go to www.nycpedalboards.com
then go to Pedalboards on the right...I ordered a Standard series "Big Shot" with a 24 inch 2nd level and I got the butterfly latches as well as 2 pedal platforms for my Wah and my Pro Co Rat...should be kick ass! I also did go with George L's fort cables...I run nothing but George L's anyway but I also ordered a bunch of ends and cable so I can do this right!
I got the Pedal Power 2...I hope it does what I need it to do!

My last 2 or 3 have been homebrew boards and to be honest there is nothing wrong with them at all but I really needed a casse for it and this just seemed like the best option for me.

Hey Gearjoneser, I want to put a board together at some point in the near future too, maybe I could see yours again? I remember it was really well done. I don't have as many pedals as yours, but I want to be able to route them with the less signal stomping as possible. So maybe a few different loops would do it best? I've got about 6 pedals, and will be getting a timmy pedal too in the future.

I just went with the biggest stock board he makes mostly because most of my pedals are big old ugly analog boxes...

The best thing you can have on a pedalboard is a dual loop box. Then you can put the less used pedals on one loop, put those pedals towards the back of the board, and bring them in using 1 button in front. Use the second button on the looper to send a one way signal to a tuner. Then, everytime you tune, the signal is muted.
On mine, the main signal goes through all the true bypass pedals (5). The 1st loop (pink box) goes to the tuner and mutes everything. The 2nd loop brings the Line 6's in/out. That way, they aren't loading down the main signal, and I can set up combinations on both L6's, and bring them in together with the 2nd button.
The Pedal Power II is underneath the shelf.

If you use the FX loop on an amp, then it's best if your amp has an FX loop in/out button on your footswitch. If you go into the front, like most do, true bypass pedals are the way to go. If not, you don't want more than 4 or 5.
With the loop boxes, you can remove pedals from the chain, so they don't even exist, till you hit the loop button.
