New pedal board layout.

I've got to order a new set of George L's to go with what I have here. I've got plenty of their black cable and plugs already, so I'm going to do all my pre buffer cables in black, and all my post buffer cables in purple to make things easier to trace. The Rocktron Loop 8 has a good built in buffer and the Plasma Coil Fuzz in particular with the mod effects really benefits from running post buffer.

Loop/Pedal order

1: Ftelectronica Black Hole Octaver and Pigtronix Space Rip Synth
2: Keeley Java Boost
3: Dunlop Cantrell Wah
4: Keeley Fuzz Bender
Buffer
5: KMA Wurm 2 and 3rd Man/Game Changer Plasma Coil Fuzz
6: Ftelectronica Eclipse Vibe and Ftelectronica Anonymous Flange + Dunlop Mini Crybaby In the Flanger's FX loop

Loop 6's output will go dirrectly to my Full Tone Tube Tape Echo. The Mesa footswitch on the board will turn the delay line on and off, but the Fulltone's preamp is always in the signal path. If you've ever played through one you'll know this is a good thing. The TTE's stereo outputs will go to...

7 & 8: Fulltone Supa-Trem 2

And the outputs from those two loops will go to two amps, either two small SS amps or two 100 watt tube heads set up as mostly clean pedal platforms.

Power will be provided by a Voodoo Labs PP2+ and X4 18.

Just as an aside, I have never had the orientation and spacing of a pedal board layout workout as perfectly lined up orderly in almost all my many attempts. There's always been one or two sideways, and just a less symmetrical orderly layout. This time the pedal sizes, jack location, etc... just all came together easy as pie. It realy is the little things.

Controversial location for the wahs

:laugh2:

The mini is directly above the loop send and return of the flanger it is paired with, so I can step on the button for the loop and my foot is directly next to where it needs to be.

Tbt I like having the wahs there too. It feels more comfortable to me to have them up a little higher, and I'm not that clumsy. I don't have to stomp on them to turn them on because they are always on, and only in the signal path when being used.

The only issue I would have with this is if (at a show) you weren't getting any sound. It could be any number of things wrong and you couldn't really troubleshoot.

Hahaha. I'm not in a band, so that's not really a problem.

But I ran a similar board for years with George L's from start to finish, and can think of 0 times I had any issues that were difficult to isolate.

Basically if you have issues within any one preset patch, then it's obviously one of those pedals or cables for that patch. If not then odds are it's your input guitar to switcher cable, or the switcher out to amp cable. I've always got spare cables on hand.

Unless 2 cables go bad at once! That's fun when people are staring at you...haha. Honestly, I'd have a different board if I was playing just at home- mine are built for gigging. Weight, size, ease to troubleshoot, etc are as important as tone to me.

tone is most important, but ease to troubleshoot is also critical. weight and size are considerations, but not my top priorities. i also never go all that big since my needs are fairly limited. my three most used boards are four (2) or five (1) pedals

Ditto almost Identically on that ~ this one has 6 total with 4- minis (1 MXR 95) a Bonsai 9-way T-S + a small Wah
