new pedals day

Its like Christmas early over here.

My delay was not turning on and on as it should... And frankly that pisses me right off.

Picked up a couple EHX today. The memory toy, and the metal muff w/ top boost from pushedcrayon.
Currently I'm in the garage tweaking new pedals!

Good stuff! Love that Metal Muff. What delay did you that wouldn't turn on?

Re: new pedals day

The only one's in earshot are old retired teachers.... they don't hear anything, they don't care....

But my ears are still ringing if that counts.

Sounding great, there are a lot of unusable tones in that pedal, but I settled on one that I rather like. I really like the top boost. It works well with different guitars.
I actually owned one a while back and sold it off in favor of the nano-muff. That tone is creamy! But 9 times out of 10 I use the Metal Master... I think it brings out my inner demon.

Re: new pedals day

That's curious. I used to have those two pedals together. Sold the Metal Muff.
A trick here: Set the treble slightly below noon, mids at noon and the bass as you prefer.
Now set the Top Boost on zero, and slowly work it's way up. It will sound muffled at the beginning.

Around the 9-10 o' clock mark there's a bit where the top boost doesn't boost the highs, but the high mids instead.
If you nail that, the Metal Muff sounds ferocious. Extremely crunchy and tight.
The only bad thing is you'll never want to turn the top boost off. :P

Re: new pedals day

P.S: Just checked the settings on that picture. The Top Boost seems to be almost where I had suggested you to set it. :D
Treble dimed? Ouch. Hahahaha.

Re: new pedals day

Treble dimed baby! Ha ha usually is, I think it's because I can't hear a lot of those frequencies anymore...
