New pickup day - Little '59 Tele

For a while now I have been wanting to swap out my Fender Tele pickups. I have a MIM 2014 standard Tele. I love the guitar for its simplicity and playability, not so much for its twanginess (I'm languagizing). I play classic rock mostly. My local guitar shop had a Duncan Little '59 for Tele (bridge) so I jumped all over it. Love it!

The store did not have a suitable neck pup replacement so that is still stock for now.

Sound clips soon to come. My wife and I just moved houses last week and we also recently had our 3rd child (a boy, about 5 weeks old now). So as you could imagine guitar-playing time is hard to come by right now.

Nice! I'm eventually going to replace the cheap pickups in my Tele and it'll be nice to see and hear what you think of it. I've always wondered about those mini humbuckers.

Well, if you don't like a Tele's twanginess, you did the right thing. There is certainly NO twanginess in a Lil 59.

For classic rock it ought to work very good in a Tele bridge plate. I'm anxiously waiting for those sound clips.

Wow, it looks cool, too! The Little 59 is one of my favorite bridge pickups in a Tele- I am not a fan of the twang, either (although I like it when other people do it).
