hi every1!
i'm planning to get a new bridge-pickup for my epiphone G-400 that i'm plugging directly into a marshall jcm900 MKIII. i don't use the stock neck pickup, cos it's too muddy and sounds more fuzzed than distorted. the bridge pickup does his job ... well ... hmmm ... quite well, but could use a bit more output, punch, clarity, bottom, definition blablabla ...

i play rhythm guitar (no solos) and the sound i'm looking for is something similiar to AC/DC, nearly exactly like gluecifer www.gluecifer.com or just listen to some of our records on www.taiyang.at - what i'm looking for is what these records are missing :-).

any suggestions?
thx in advance

AC/DC....vintage early 60's SG with alnico 5 humbuckers. The Duncan 59's would be closest. That's the direction I would go: Duncan 59B. Lew

I strongly recommend a '59 set... did wonders in my Epi G400 I had 2 years ago!

If you were doing any lead-work I'd suggest the Custom in the bridge, but since you aren't I agree with the '59 combo as probably your best bet. I have '59 in the neck of my G400 and it sounds great.

I upgraded an Epi Paul. Nothing like a zippy pickup to kick a well built but toneless midline Epi into high gear. I'm not into the bands you mention, nor SG's, but think about the Custom Custom. I think it could really crunch up anything in a good way.
