New Pickups for '72 Fretless P-bass

Just bought an old-school fretless p...she's been treating me right. The only thing is the original pickups are little tame for my Warwick Thumb ears. I am looking for suggestions, advice, and any words of wisdom that anyone has on the matter.

I've had real good results with the Dimarzio Model P, haven't tried any SD bass pu.
