Hi All!I am putting new pickups in my Yamaha strat copy- just as the title says.me and my dad chose three pickups for it;A lipstick tube neck pickup, A vintage for Strat middle, and a P-rails.regrettably, we failed to look around the website enough to find the pickup selector, which certainly would have helped guide my choices. It's been three months now, in part due to the fact that my father, who is quiet knowledgeable when it comes to electronics, is often busy and I know nothing of circuitry, which can really put a damper on things when it comes to the p-rails.
There have been plenty of times when I have re-considered my options when it came to this what I should do. Here are some of my more reasonable ideas-
1. Sell the lipstick and the middle, get a new pickguard, and just have the p-rails with all options for that thru the switch.
2. Simply ridding myself of the p-rails and getting a Gibson style humbucker, preferably one with a cover so that it would look nice with the lipstick tube.
3. Sell all three buy a new humbucker for the instrument (it's the only pickup that doesn't work) and sell the modded guitar.
So, any thoughts? Do these pickups work together, technically speaking? What kind of Humbucker would you guys recommend?
Thanks
