****ing hails guys
ahahahahah the ibanez finally arrived.
it got its qm1 qm2 pickups.
and i think these pickusp are out of phase. they are giving me wah wah sounds.
heheehehehe
btw ..
i want the same stuffs...
Tight bass possible, crunchy mids, LOTS OF HARMONICS, and singing lead tone(sound like a JB?) for the bridge position.
Output =Moderated/High. probably Eq. Bass 6, middles 6, highs 7.(almost 666) hahahahahaah!

neck pickup .. i´m pretty sure to get a jazz neck(if i´ll really go seymour duncan on this guitar) Unless you recomend me something different..
but i want mellow sound Moderated output. smooth and singing leads, articulated bass and moderated crunchy highs... it sounds like a Jazz neck to me.. at least, from the duncans i heard from the cd i have, it sounds perfect. i have one, but i didn´t have it installed YET. gonna get it this week in my fender. so, i´ll post the reply.

so, what are your thoughts on this one?!
Also.. i was thinking in a Paf pro neck/Megadrive bridge.. but it seems that its hard to find a ****ing megadrive out there.
so, i thought in the Paf pro neck/evo 2 bridge.
Or, super 2 neck-super distortion bridge. but JeffB said that it will not handle my Lots of distortion stuff.

and i also thinking in a emg 81/emg 60a Neck or 60 Neck?!!? what do you think?!!?!

First of all, congratulations on that new guitar, looks sweet man! Is gear too expensive there in Brazil? Here in Chile the prices on import stuff has been dropping massively over the year... anyway, back to your topic:

The JB-Jazz combo should do good on that mahogany body, I agree with you. If you want moderate output, the Super Distortion and the Evo II might be a bit over the top. I've never been a fan of the Super Distortion anyway, and I absolutely hate the Evo. (nothing against DMZ, just those models) Good luck on whatever you choose!

Is that the ZR trem? How do you like it man?

it needs a new tech set up... it came a little too light strings.. and i think i´m going to tune it to B.

Haha yeah, they come with some flimsy 9s. When I got my Ibanez I took the strings off right away and put some 10-46 strings then set it up. That's how it's supposed to be! :beerchug:

I haven't tried the Jazz neck myself, but I'd think that the PAF Pro would be a higher output pickup => more bass and mids too than Jazz. If you're after similar tone, I'd probably go for a low-output Dimarzio like the Air Classic or the Virtual PAF.

Have you tried out the FRED? It could be what you're looking for for the bridge based on what I've read, I'm sorry but I haven't tried that out personally myself either.

i emailed the dimarzio tech support and they recomended me the following combos :
EVO 2 bridge, and paf pro neck, but he also recomended me to look out for an evo neck or a the breed neck too. and he said that both Neck and bridge must be F spaced. ahahahaha

WFD make yourself a treat and get a nice TB6 Distrotion , this is the best for metal , did you ever try it ?

Dimebucker in the bridge. The bass is tight. Stays clear under high gain.

stick to the Jazz in the neck- it's one heck of a pickup despite its somewhat demure monicker. i have it in my RGA pictured below, the bridge unit is a JB. this combo is killer IMO- from smooth fusion to black metal.

The MegaDrive is still available from DiMarzio. Reeves Gabrels who used to play with David Bowie turned me on to one. Great pickup. The only thing I'd recommend is that you install it with the blade CLOSER TO THE BRIDGE.

whats a DEMURE MONICKER? ahahahahahahah
well, what are the woods on your ibanez? i guess its not Mahogany one and i assume it has a thiucker body than mine.
I´ll stick with a Jb bridge, Jazz neck. FOR SURE.
if i dislike, i´ll Go dimarzio .
