New piece of kit!

...and I'm very impressed. It's a birthday present from my parents, even though its not my birthday until friday, but who cares, they didn't :p. This is the first wah pedal I have ever had, so I don't really have the knowledge or expertise to write a nice big review on it, but I had good intentions.

I am having a little difficulty getting used to it though. I kind of play by ear, and by this I mean, I know I'm in the right place when I hear a certain note, and the wah kind of throws this out the window. I have to watch what my left hand does a little more than I used to. I have never really used one before, but I am getting the kinds of sounds I want to get from it already. I was told I'd have to have a few nights of a few solid hours with it before I was able to get all the proper sounds from it, but I'm ok. I can see that I still have an awful lot to learn when it comes to using it though , and that's before I even think about faffing about with any knobs or anything.

That's a great wah . . . I tried quite a few out in music stores before buying that one, and it got some of the best sounds that I've heard from a wah. Bet you'll be really happy with it!

If you want to be "schooled" on using a wah...

Go grab a copy of One Night at Budokan (MSG) and Live and Dangerous (Thin Lizzy)...and jam along with them...if you can get Schenker's and Robertson's wah styles down, you'll be wayyyyy ahead of the pack :bigthumb:
