Sweet, I've been combing ebay for a RM20 or 50 for a good price.
BTW, the 1086 sounds way better than the Recto. The Recto or Treadplate as they call it now was kind of dissappointing. And I got to A/B it against a Single Rectofier half stack. The XTC is cool too.

I received 2 modules yesterday and haven't had a chance to play them at decent levels but so far they really sound cool. I had a little trouble getting the XTC to make a good connection but it's fine now and sounds great
I don't think the Blackface is modded yet (it's clipping a little bit) so I'll check that out and take care of it pretty soon.
Now I'm on the hunt for a plexi and 1086

I was so ready to buy a Randall RM50 head and I was on the randall forum a lot ofr the MTS series amps but then I finally looked into their reliability. I found a whole thread filled with nothing but horrid stories of the amps failing all the time for various reasons. I wonder if the RM4 is more reliable because it isn't exactly designed like the other RM heads/combos?

Yeah I had noticed that as well and even though they're kinda slow with handling things, Randall does seem to try and fix the problem. Rich asks for folks to email him if any problems do come up.
Here's a quick little vid of the XTC. It sounds friggin huge and I like it a lot The Blackface is just as cool, very articulate and "woody" sounding too.

FYI: I had the RM100 for quite some time and I had no issues with it. In fact, it even blew a power tube and kept running just fine as it is advertised to do. I don't know if a "whole thread" is enough to guage the general reliability of a line of amps.
