Go here: http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNAMM05/Index/, scroll down to "Seymour Duncan", and watch the video of the lovely spokesmodel Evan showing off the pedal, as well as some other new wares. The yellow looks cool!
Evan, you rock! :fing25: that was one cool looking machine.. :) im gonna try that out at the guitar shop sometime after march then...
i noticed he pronounced seymour as see-more? i dunno..i always pronounced it as say-more?

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

damn, damn, damn! I'm trying to make my pedal board simple and smaller but stuff like this keeps happening! Damn!

Sounds cool, a little too cool!

I'd say here in the States, it's definitely pronounced "See-more"! :)

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Of all the directions SD could go they chose a fuzz? Everyone does these. This seems kind of lame to me.

Maybe they should've done a noiseless single coil that sounds like a real single coil? The classic stacks just don't. Way to much mid. In my opinion this is one area where DiMarzio and Kinman in particular are ahead of SD.

But the thing is, I'm fairly certain that its based on this fuzz, which gives it functionality beyone the basic Vol/Tone/Dist of most fuzz's. ;)

Hmm, I may be buying blindly but i may have to get one.

REally getting into hendrix type tones etc.

I wonder if any forumites would be willing to buy one new and send it over to Ireland(I'd of course pay up front :laugh2: )
They'd be most likely 3 times the price over here.

Cheers

except in the South, where it's "say-more" :D

judging by the fact that there's always a thread on the forum about "what fuzz/ overdrive should I get?", I'd say there's always a market for one more, especially done right

I'd like to see 'em do an overdrive, too :)

Artie,
you think Evan made Alex an offer he couldn't refuse? :)

Have you tried a Duckbucker? I think they nail it pretty good.

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Also, I think Evan's hint about this pedal being on the front page somewhere was lame. I would never have guessed to follow the Blues Saraceno link to find the AfroFuzz. Evan has to work on his clues a bit! Darn marketing guy!

Maybe . . . better yet, if these are designed and/or built by Alex Saraceno, thats a heaping big dose of "mojo". I think it was Scott that said . . . they're going to sell a million of these. ;)

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Well, I guess I will have to be the dissenting voice on this one. The Saraceno pedal clips referenced above didn't do anything for me. The afro model in particular was just bassy/farty sounding. The Gboy was better but still nothing that amazing. If those are what this pedal is based on I don't need one. Just not a fuzz kinda guy I guess.

I do love how he claims big name artists are using them (The Saraceno pedals) but won't name them. Maybe they are but if you aren't going to name them whats the point? It just comes across as BS.

I will listen and give the "tweak" a shot to see what it can do but if its in the ballpark of what I heard in those clips I will pass and save my cash in case those new stacked singles float my boat.
