New progressive house tracks

OK, so here's try two, in the correct room this time.
So, anyone who checked out my last track knows I'm mainly into electronic music now, and I've been working on a lot of progressive house. Here is a link to the latest track I've been working on: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=c7250cea184c7b71d2db6fb9a8902bda. It's in the final stages but not totally complete. You can check out my finished track "California" on my myspace (http://www.myspace.com/drewmistora, Drew Mistora is a pseudonym).
Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!

Re: New progressive house tracks

Sounds like you're making progress from the last one I heard, good job.
I think it would be good to find a female vocalist for this track.

My CC is that this sounds a bit dated but I'm out of touch a bit as to what's going on in progressive house these days.
I would like to hear some deeper elements using triplet delays like some of those little synth or percussion hits you have delayed, that always takes it a bit more underground and deeper.

Thanks for the feedback. I'd love to work with a female vocalist and I definitely feel like a lot of my tracks would benefit from it, but I don't have anyone to work with so I'm going to try some stuff with a vocoder and see how that goes. Sequentially and compositionally I'm going for a sound like Kaskade's and Deadmau5's, and after taking a short break and listening to it again, I think it's more the production that sounds dated and is lacking than the composition so I have a good idea of what to focus on for a while.

Yeup. House music is about the "quality" of the sounds as much as it is about the melodies and composition. Production values have to be at a very high level.

Re the vocalist. Search sites like Garageband, Reverb Nation and others for electronic acts and find a vocalist you like then offer to remix them. Or for practice there are sites that have vocals from the stars...you didn't hear it hear. ;) Go to Global Underground's web site BB's and do a search for a capellas.
