New Project Day - Frankenstein

Re: New Project Day - Frankenstein

And thanks for all the kind comments and recommendations regarding the necks. As always; I appreciate the input.

Re: New Project Day - Frankenstein

Yeah the beautifully flamed neck needs an equally beautiful body to compliment it. The roasted neck still looks pretty darn cool though and I really like the look of the work on the body. Should be a great build mate.

Re: New Project Day - Frankenstein

Yes Sir. Luckily I was in the process of picking up the USACG and it definitely paired better with the project. Thanks for the kind words. I think it's going to turn out to be a great player.

Re: New Project Day - Frankenstein

Im on my laptop and the pixel quality leaves a lot to be desired, but I swear that looks like double fillisters and an SH baseplate...Not doubting you just explaining what my eyes are seeing.

Edit:
Got on the ipad and got a better look and its def double fillisters like I thought.

Re: New Project Day - Frankenstein

You are correct about what’s showing in that pic, but I settled on the NOS TB-4J I picked up from Masta’c.

Re: New Project Day - Frankenstein

Is there a purpose to that switch? Can you even get to it through the strings? How would you switch from position 1 to position 5 in one sweep?

Re: New Project Day - Frankenstein

Isn't that just uninstalled parts placed together pre-mockup? Bridge pup isnt bolted in either, the floyd is just sitting there, and there doesn't appear to be any input jack???

Yeah, I didn't notice any speakers in the guitar either, but if you ever plan on plugging it into an amp (which I would highly suggest) you might also want an OUTPUT jack.

Look up EVH's Frankenstrat, no one knows why he did it, no, it's not wired, nor is the neck pickup. M'nM is just building a tribute/replica. And a great job at that! Still needs the '71 (?) quarter though.
