New Project Day - Strat Content

Re: New Project Day - Strat Content

I like the dark neck. My Warmoth has a neck made of wenge, which isn't quite like rosewood in feel, but it has its own thing going on.

Thanks for the comments-both for and against. Have very little free time to work on it so it’s been sitting. I really dig the color combo and the Rosewood looks much better after a coat of bore oil on it. Hoping to get it wired up today but might have to wait as I’m out of town during the week.

Re: New Project Day - Strat Content

Finally got around to finishing the Strat. Got a Fralin baseplate soldered up for the bridge pickup--works like a champ!

Pretty cool setup for the Fender Fat 50s with a 7-Way switch to add the N+B and N+M+B to the traditional 5-way switching.

Love the Rosewood neck--feels and sounds great. Not 100% sold as I may want to eventually check out a Roasted Maple+Rosewood fretboard on this guitar BUT it definitely has me being thankful for having a Strat back in the fold right now!

Love it! Great sounding demos too! [emoji1303]

Thanks! It turned out way better than I had hoped! Need to adjust the pickups a bit though. Thank you very much! Those clips were just straight from my Strat to a Vertex Steel String pedal into my iPhone. Lots of fun!

Really does look nice and kudos on the clips.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

Thanks! I wasn't quite sure how the color scheme was going to work out--swapped out the white knobs for Rosewood knobs and it all tied together (to me at least!)
