Here are some pics from my new project. This is my first scratch built body. I will be gluing in an Allparts mahogany neck. Got 2 TV Jones Classics on order.

Thanks. The original has arched laminated maple. This will have 1/4 inch birch plywood. I know, it's cheap, but it's pretty close to what was on the original. It's going to be painted anyway, red like the MYII picture.

Since I am using a purchased neck I already had, I really didn't have any choice, and I don't have the equipment to try a neck build yet.

Finally got the binding successfully done. What an adventure. The cheap Harbor Freight mini router and attachment I was using would slip and go too deep. I ended up doing a bit of filling. Since it will be painted opaque, it should be ok. I will definitely get some proper binding bits before I do this again.

nice... i've been wanting to try doing some binding oneday on one of my home made tele bodies... It's all one big adventure eh!!! I'd love to make a knock off of Pete Townshends Shecters with body binding
