New project - number one with a bullet!!!

Re: New project - number one with a bullet!!!

Thanks. :)

With regards to the YJM Fury's, the DiMarzios that Yngwie originally used were low output. The Seymour Duncans aren't. Malmsteen said that the low output of the DiMarzios was one of the things that annoyed him, and DiMarzio didn't seem overly interested in working with him to make something in a similar design with more output. Seymour Duncan approached him, and they were, and the YJM Furys were born.

Thank you! TRue!! I keep forgetting that the previous info Im familiar with is from when he had the Dimarzios.. my Bad

Again - let me stress how much I love that!

But let me throw these two finishing touches...

#1 Think about either faking or getting: A three ply white/plack white pick guard. (Fake carefully with a sharpie). Or better yet - maybe a pearled, or even a Black pearled. SUPER_classy!!!!

#2 Then, lose the squire off the headstock. People with think it is some ultra-user-custom axe.

I took nail polish remover and rubbed the Squier logo off my Chinese mod project.. My Japanese Squier is awesome cept for the stock pups.. The logo on that one is the silver logo like a Fender one.. Wont alter that logo

No worries, all good. :)

I managed to get a brand new DiMarzio Injector bridge for a price I couldn't refuse today. Installed now, and moved the IBZ/USA single to the neck. The guitar sounds absolutely amazing now. The Injector "injected" the necessary output I wanted, and sounds nice and fat while still sounding like a Strat pickup. I had to crank the IBZ/USA up to match the output of the Injector, but it sounds pretty good in the neck. Hard to believe this guitar all up costed less than a new Squier Standard Strat costs in Australia.

Re: New project - number one with a bullet!!!

So I installed an Injector Neck into this on the weekend, and moved the IBZ/USA single to the middle. What a brilliant pair of pickups, love the tones, and the IBZ/USA works nicely in the middle too. I've got some Graphtech string trees coming to replace the ****ty roller ones, and then this project will be done. All screws on the pickguard are switched out the black ones, it's all looking really sweet.
