New Saddles for Ibanez RGR 170 Dx

He's Special
I've been doing some mods on my RGR 170 DX ( 3 new pickups Invader b, Pearly Gates m, Pearly Gates n, 3 Triple shots, 3 on/off/on switches, 3 volume pots)! Now its time to upgrade the bridge saddles, I'm thinking about using Graph Tech saddles, but I'm not sure they'll be the right size, their web site say's they are for Strats.

Does anyone have a suggestion for saddle replacements on an Ibanez?

Thanks.

Bump!

OK, does anyone have a suggestion for saddles other than Graph Tech?

Or a good place to buy Ibanez parts? Yes, I have seen Jemsite.

I would e-mail Graphtech and see if the saddles you are looking at will fit your guitar.

+1
without a photo of your guitar
I just cant imagine what the bridge is like
is it a tremolo?

Better question is why would you bother upgrading a RG 170 DX?

Rich is the go to guy for all things Ibanez.

I know lots of people are going to give you crap about upgrading a lower model, but I say more power to you. I forget where I saw this quote but it was, "There's nothing cooler than a cheap guitar that sounds great."

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Thanks for the reply's, yeah I know it's a cheap guitar. If you read my first post you'll see I just modded the guitar with 3 humbuckers (it was H/S/H). It was my first attempt at routing pickup cavities. I didn't feel comfortable starting out modding one of my Strat's or Gibson's!!! It came out great. The pickups sound outstanding! The neck is good, and it stays in tune. It's really a fun setup and I don't mind taking it to gigs, leaving the vintage stuff in the studio. In my 1st post I said the model was an RGR, it is not, it is a GRG 170 DX (w/ an Invader b/ PGs m/PGs b, 3 TS's, 3 Vol, 3 on/off/on-phase). It ROCKS!!!! I'll check out Rich's site. Thanks

Ewald here's before and after mod pictures. I have spoken with Jordan at Graph Tech and he's helping me find the right saddles.
Thanks for the reply. I'm happy with the way the mod came out, as I said it was my first stab at routing pickup cavities.
