Re: New Schenker V

Dean Vs are sweet for the most part. I have been known to change pickups in mine. Those in your new one are real nice sounding in the couple guitars I have played them in.

Yeah, I too hated that headstock for 25 years before getting my first Dean. Now I have to many and not enough. :headbang:

While not Dean Schenkers they are a pair of sweet Dean Vs. These are Czech made Korina Vs. I call these two Blondes, Tatiana and Tanya.

Some guys got a Hot Rod. Some guys got a boat or ex-wives. I got some guitars. :cool2:

Re: New Schenker V

I personally like the look of the headstock, especially on the V's. It just seems to fit perfectly. I have been known to say I wished it had been a tad smaller at times, but Dean is proud of it and not afraid to rock it....I like that. I've also played plenty of great sounding Deans, of all shapes and sizes.

There have been 3 sizes. The first were the biggest. There are Czech made, Korean made, and USA made in this shot. The bass headstock are series 1 size.

Yea the V headstock on the V is pretty cool. It looks good on the ML too. I prefer a 6-in-line on the other models though

Re: New Schenker V

I'm not the biggest fan of that headstock but it does work with a V.

Sorry for the hijack but I'd like to see those Dean basses Mr BTMN.

Re: New Schenker V

Both Korean made custom run basses.

The only schenkers in my price range are super flashy guitars with flames or yin yangs and stuff on them, I just wanted a plain white and black one. The plain ones were either $300 Chinese guitars or $3000 American custom runs until they came out with this one
