I just installed a '59b and a2pron with nickle coversin my epi lp. Awesome.
I also installed a CTS SPST push pull tone pot for coil split at neck only. I also including orange drop caps. Everything is working wonderfully except that when I pull the switch to split the neck pup it seems as though the outer coil is off and the inner coil is on. I say this because when i tap the pole pieces with amp on, the exposed pole pieces are almost dead sounding and when I tap over the covered ones, I get amplified tapping. I would like the exposed pieces to remain on because they're closer to the neck and volume and tone should be slightly better.
Any suggestions? I'm going to try and post a link to the diagram I used. Remembering that I'm using a SPST and Neck only pup split.
