New signature schecters!

Re: New signature schecters!

Hmm...can't say I like either bodystyle. I'll stick with my C-1 Hellraiser.

Re: New signature schecters!

I can say I was a lot bit let down by the introduction of signature avenged sevenfold guitars and not a jeff loomis sig. He is twice the player of those pipsqueeks combined and deserves the recognition of a signature axe.

It's too bad he likes plain-ass guitars...I guess that's kind of the reasoning with him not having one, lol.

Jeff plays many "differnet" guitars and i do not think he will "bind" himself to any contract. He earns well for having the freedom to play what he wants to.Maybe ESP or JAckson can catch him.

Re: New signature schecters!

That chrome mushroom invader is sorta cool.

But damn, avenged sevenfold is queerer than a 3 dollar bill.

Some people may be disappointed with the guitars mentioned in this thread, you sir on the other hand have maintained a positive point of view through it all. Perhaps I could have done the same if I owned such a fine example of what a Schecter should be.

Re: New signature schecters!

thing is though guys, schecter know those avenged sevenfold guitars are going sell madly, so the prices of those things are way over the top!

They won't be too badly priced. The price they show is list. Going by what their other guitars sell for (price of a C-1 elite and S-1 street vs. list) the Syn model will probably be some where in the range of $850-900. While thats not the cheapest guitar on earth, its not that bad for a OFR and seymour duncan equiped rig. Especially when you consider its got a set neck and more labor intensive paint and inlays. Think $660-690 for a safe bet on the vengance model.

Id buy another schecter in a heart beat but hell if I buy that Avenged sevenfold one, and Ill just reinforce the fact that it is quite the queer looking guitar.

Are you being sarcastic? Did I offend?

I agree, & to me it reflects a publicity decision. Schecter must figure A7X to be the Next Big Thing.

Jeff Loomis is Amazing.. but he plays a pretty much stock model of a guitar they already sell.

I really dislike that Syn Custom.. horrid paintjob and shape. And yeah

They are, look how many kids love them, and want to stick Invaders in their guitars and buy exclusively Schecter just because of Syn?

I've got no problem with that. I'm just glad that someone mainstream is inspiring kids to actually know how to play more than just bar chords and simple uninspiring chord progressions.
