New Song: Cabin Fever

Re: New Song: Cabin Fever

Gigantaurish......
That is some big ass sounds, and great playing on top of it!
Defently felt the need to get out :D
Thank you, sir. Yeah, I was going for a pretty big sound. I think I accomplished that, especially because of my bass tone. I've been trying to find my perfect bass tone for a couple of months or so. I've been wanting something huge and deep, that won't overpower the other instruments, and also sit well in the mix without being boomy. I think I nailed it....at least for this song.

Yeah, man, balancing bass has always been a struggle for me -- and I still feel like I am working on it. You are quite right about it being perfect for one song but not the next ... changing the key changes the resonance of the bass and that affects the entire tonal balance.
I like this one a lot ... really calls out for some vocals!

The second vid reminded me slightly of the great prog metal band, Wuthering Heights.
