New Song: "How the One Was West"

Re: New Song: "How the One Was West"

Yesterday, I saw a documentary about Ennio and a film music composer in Rome..cool stuff.

I dig the clip..great atmosphere, takes you away to another place. How did you create the strings/flute part? Midi or a keyboard?

Thanks for listening and the comments!

The strings and flute, I played on my M-Audio keyboard into Garage Band's plug-ins, so MIDI. That's why I wish I had your skills on piano! It'd be easier for me to convey exactly what I have in mind for strings instead of just settling for what is within the range of my piano playing ability.

Nice music... well done

Can you write music? If so, you may want to consider one of the Finale suite of software products. I currently use Finale Guitar. Finale can export written music as a midi file. So anything you can create on sheet music can be played - even if it's physically impossible for a musician to play.

I think what you have done here is good - but if you feel you are being limited by your keyboard ability, you may want to consider Finale.

Ohhh, I've heard of Finale and I can write music. It would be cool to have sheet music copies of my music. How does the guitar version work? Does it play whatever you come up with on MIDI guitar? And is the software expensive?

Thanks to everyone for listening! I'll be posting the MAIN theme I came up with here shortly.

Biu, that is wonder. I like it too much. I think you should to improve your keyboard skill because it is heart not continous pulsation. I do think.
