Sounds great man. It's got some attitude. Maybe you could add some finger-taping at the end or something to give it a little extra flair on exit - or maybe I'm full of it and it's cool the way it is.

This absolutely ROCKS, and I can't wait to hear what it sounds like with vocals! I'm not big on the panning of the lead guitar -- it's a little distracting to me -- but that's the only thing I'd change. I'd just leave it where you have it: mostly in the right channel. I do like when you pan it center to left at the start of the outro, however. The mix is superior.

As always, I have to ask: What's the rig you used for this (i.e., instruments, effects, software and recording gear)?

I wish I knew how to tap... I like jsut taking my pic to the strings and gettin' that Kim Thayil up/down stroke thing happenin'... but jeez, I have no idea how to tap!

I was trying to go for that Hendrix lead where all the panning is happening. I am still on the fence about it, but I seem to like the way it works so far. Thanks for the opinion, man!

I used an American Strat with a humbucking bridge PG and plugged it into my PODXT.

1) Rhythm gtrs: PODXT “Blackface” simulator with a TS-9 pedal
2) Lead gtrs: PODXT “Treadplate Dual” simpulator (Mesa Boogie DRSH) with some extra EQ’ing
3) Pro Tools LE 7.0
4) My trusty MAC book!
