link does not work, but I found the song. Very impressed, could be on an emo indie romantic comedy methinks. I really like your stuff when it is not engulfed in the electronic sounding stuff. really nice strings, and I could easily tell what all the lyrics are, not pitchy singing either.
CC: not liking the tones at 2:14 and not really feeling that part fits with the rest of the song, too aggressive sounding really

I get some odd Steely Dan feel out of this one, love the dry clear mix and sounds.

I find it almost impossible to critique your stuff because i just love the core of the songs and your choices of how you present them. There are lo-fi elements that i worry will be lost if your music is produced by the standards of most contemporary recordings and the sonic templates that people have become conditioned to hearing.
I'm simply happy to hear your stuff in any way you want to present it. Sorry, i realise that may not be what you're asking, but i just love music in terms of what goes into my ears and/or heart, and how it moves me. A part of that is (for me) about fragility, sensitivity, and often even imperfection. It's probably that last one that defines an individual and their music. (can you imagine Neil Young or Bob Dylan with their music 'cleaned up' and their voices educated until they sang like angels ? It might be okay, but it certainly wouldn't be Bob Dylan or Neil Young anymore).
When i hear this, and any of your songs, I'm just like "Oh yeah ...wow.... beautiful" and it resonates with me in a great way. That's all i need. Analysing might only detract from my enjoyment, and i don't want that to happen.

Noyce, it's even better now. I actually dug the heavy tones you had before, I totally disagree with Everdrone's opinion that it didn't 'fit" the song.
Contrast is good, I like a little heavy in my soft and a little soft in my heavy.

In some ways, i would have emphasised the heavyness, but not metal style, more like the way Sigur Ros would do it, crushingly heavy orchestral. But I like both the versions a great deal. I always get nervous when i hear a few versions of your tunes in case an element of what initially appeals to me gets changed, lost or watered down as the tune/mix/arrangement/whatever evolves. This one seems to be suitable to various permutations without changing too much, which is a good thing. Sometimes i think i might be the kind of listener who should only hear the final version so i never knew what came before, hehe.
This is a strong song and seems like it could be presented in many ways, and it's all good. Plus i'm well aware that my tastes are often not aligned with those of many others, and that i tend to listen with my heart rather than with my ears.
