Has anyone had any experience with the new line of Sound City stuff? I know it’s not P2P or anything like that, it’s cheaply made (probably Chinese) stuff, but the couple of reviews I’ve read so far have been really promising.
Apparently the 30 watt 1X12 and the 50 watt head run on 6L6’s and stay clean almost all the way up - is it possible the head is a poor man’s Fender Twin in a head? I know the Twin has more power than that, but does it have similar sounding cleans?
The head is something like £330, and I'm thinking if it sounds decent it's surely gotta be worth that kind of money. I'd be looking to build a 1x15 + 2x12 setup into one cab, and keep the amp set clean all the time using pedals for everything else.
