Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

I have one in my Mission Deluxe, and it sounds great!
Mine looks vintage though ... what's that going in, and what's the power rating?

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

It is the 30W model, which means it will work with all of my amps except for one ... I am not sure where it will reside yet ... the iso cab, closed 1x12, open 1x12, none of them, all of them! :)

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

I'm a big Weber fan. They always treat me right. And, better than that, when I email them trying to nail a particular tone with a particular amp, they seem to give me great recommendations.

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

nice. love the white frame on that alnico goodness.

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

I think that wins for the best looking speaker of all time. Who cares how it sounds! :bigthumb:

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

Well? How is it?
I just put in an hour w my '62 reissue Strat (Duncan SSL-1 in the bridge, 2x Fender Custom Shop pups), AnalogMan SunFace, AnalogMan Beano Boost, L'il Dawg Champster.

In a word, it's fanbloodytastic. Genuine and immediate vintage tone from the get-go.

Will post clip samples soon.

Going to move onto the Wide Range pups and humbuckers next ...

HA, thanks!

I thought the white would be a cool look. Fortunately, it sounds fantastic, too.

Nice speaker!
Looks great, and Weber sounds great!
:)
Yes to both! :)

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

Quick clip:

Strat bridge (no fx)
Strat middle (no fx)
Strat neck (no fx)

Solo section: left guitar is Strat bridge, right guitar is strat pickup position 2 (bridge/middle) w the Analogman Sunface, lead guitar is Tele thinline bridge w the AnalogMan Beano Boost

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

sounds great ... I know mine is a WHOLE lotta fun to play ... the way it breaks up a little, and sustains ... plus, it was a perfect match for my amp

and oh yeah, I agree the white is a great look!

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

I really like buying from Weber. I have a ceramic Heavy mag speaker with 55Hz cone from right before Ted died that is pretty nice, but the 55Hz cone was a mistake. Anyway, what made you go for AlNiCo speakers?

Re: New Speaker Day (Weber content)

Alnico seemed to be the right match. I was having little luck w my current speakers, which are all ceramic, and figured, why not? :)
