This is to replace the red Korean 90's strat I got ages ago to mod. I have tried hard to like Red, it looks the part very Hank Marvin (maple neck and aged white parts) but the fretboard radius is flat, its made of ply and tonally a wee bit on the dead side when I compare it to my 80's Japanese Squier Strat.
I even bought secondhand Lil' 59's and a Duckbucker off some forum great bro's to put in it but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I think the guitar would not have done the pups any justice and I would always have in the back of my mind doubt they could sound better in something else . So I'm cutting my losses and Red is off to the bay to find a new home!
And this one is arriving in its place, will let you know how it goes. Can't wait!
