AGILE!!!! That thing is GORGEOUS!

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

yeah...and it would be about a 100 bucks cheaper...i just wish i could see it and play it first...know what i mean...?

i've played the Aria...loved it...so...hence my dilemna...????

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

Aria... damn cool Gretch vibe going on there, like it a lot!

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

yeah...it was alot like a gretsch...the one i played had an actual bigsby on it and the whole thing felt pretty solid and was well made...i don't know, a pair of Seths and it could be awesome!!!???

of course a 59/c5 in that agile and some locking tuners would be sweet too!!!???

LOL!?!

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

when do you plan on getting them? only because rondo is actually not that far from me and i might be able to take a trip............

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

hmmm...maybe in a couple of months...

don't make a special trip or nothing, but...if you decide to go over ther anytime soon...try that black 3000 out for me and give me the "low down" on the thing...

thanks bro,
mike

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

Not sure how much you're looking to spend, but take a look at the PRS Tremonti SE...still the absolute best Korean-built guitar I've ever played.

yeah of corse. ive been wanting to go down there. my friend went there 2 weeks ago (idnt tell me, er) and actually bought a guitar. lol. the ash one. he loves it.

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

see if you can get some filtertrons to chuck in that aria! would suit the vibe better. Rio Grande make some pickups that would look great and sound awesome in that axe. But im sure a set of seths would sound perfect too!

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

Hmm...........those are both real nice looking guitars, but I think I like the agile the most. It's easy for me though having not played either yet. :D

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

I dunno, Hoss. I think maybe you should hold onto your savings and buy something a little nicer down the line. If these guitars really speak to you, by all means go ahead, but if not, don't let the temptation to keep up with the Jonese(r)s get to you.

It's difficult (I should know), but sometimes it's best to hold fire and wait for that sweet deal down the line. Both of those guitars will turn up secondhand for a fraction of the new cost sometime down the line.

If you must get a new toy, check out something like the 60s ampeg reverberocket and jet combos going fairly cheap on ebay. Trust me on this one. If you like the reissue, try a vintage one. I swear these are the best kept secret of the vintage market. You could take the guts of these amps, put them in new chassis and cabs, and sell them for $2000+ as boutique tone machines.

LOL!?!

I played a Tennessee model Gretsch (in my favorite color, orange), but the frets were cutting my hand and the whole guitar felt like it was gonna fall apart. It felt cheap and it amazes me that a brand that's so highly priced could be so poorly made.

Me? I LOVE Gretsch's hollowbody look. If I could find one for the right price with those Filtertron pups and a Bigsby trem, I would be in heaven. That Aria looks really nice and if it plays, feels and sounds good... I say go for it. (then post reviews and clips so I'll want to buy one :laugh2: )

I feel the same way, but hopefully I'll be getting a TUBE amp soon. :headbang: After that I should be ok for a few weeks. :laugh2:

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA......I know I'm not helping you out here Brother!!! :13:

IMHO You've played the Aria & loved it....knock off LPs are a dime a dozen & easily scored elsewhere (look @ the Dillion's too! ). If you simply MUST get something, I'd get the Aria. I sold my Sheraton so I could get my Guild, but that was a sweet guitar...is it hollow or semi-hollow? Hooked up to your TM120 on the Fender clean setting would sound amazing!

BUT.....The Funky Hot Grits man is giving great advice too. By saving your money now & beating down the impulse to spend NOW may pay off down the road for a nicer piece that WILL stumble your way!

Either way......WE'RE HERE FOR YOU BRUTHA!!!!

AND YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT THE DILLION GOLDTOP I GOT FROM BUTNUT....SCREAMIN' !!!!!! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Re: NEW STUFF DOES ROCK...i need some!?!?!

i think i'm gonna concentrate on finishing my guitar project this summer...and then see what happens...i'd still like to know how that agile play though...and i'm gonna try to stay away from the store with that aria in it...LOL!!!

buying parts for my project should help alleviate my g.a.s....!?

hey grits i laughed when i read your comment about keeping up with the jonse(r)s...for most of us that's pretty impossible... :smack: :laugh2:

i'm also "trying" to square away some money to run into one of those "deals" somewhere this summer...i don't want to end up like i usually do...finding the deal of a lifetime with no cash to snatch it up...LOL!!!
