New three way locking system for Floyd users

Re: New three way locking system for Floyd users

Wouldn't it hit on the shelf/ledge that runs around the recess? Or are you meant to take a bit of wood out?

IDK but it's still in development and should be out sometime this year. I hope you wouldn't have to route.

Man you would need to be a magician to fit that down next to your tremolo block without mods. Or am i missing something here

Re: New three way locking system for Floyd users

Well it might be smaller than that picture leads on but i'm looking at my Floyd right now trying to see how it might work.

Re: New three way locking system for Floyd users

Might have to remove a sliver or two of wood.
Big axe.
Big axe.
Big axe.

Do they have a Twitter page? I respond only to Twits these days.
In all seriousness, though, I like different ideas people have for accomplishing this kind of goal.

Re: New three way locking system for Floyd users

I know a easier way. I have showed it before but i dont think anyone really took notice.

Maybe later i will show you again.

Re: New three way locking system for Floyd users

I hear a 1971 quarter works pretty good. Requires two extra screw holes in the finish though.

Stage one get this, Install

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Tremolo-Stopper-Stabilizer-for-Floyd-Rose-other-floating-guitar-bridges-Brass-/121203998814?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item1c3852405e

Stage 2 get this, drop it in the other side of the tremolo and open it until it wedges in there and the tremolo cant move
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Letterpress-Quoin-and-Quoin-Key-Set-of-4-For-Heidelberg-Kluge-C-P-Miehle-/301185509738?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item46200e296a

How is that not just as easy and less complicated?

Those letterpress^^quoins can hold an extreme amount of pressure so their is no way it can move or come undone until you want it to. No i haven't tested it yet but i cant see why it wouldn't work.

I'd say there's a solid "snowball's chance in hell" that you could install that without taking out any material. It looks like a really complex solution to a very simple problem.

Yeah too many parts to start with. What do you think of my method i posted up there ^^?

Re: New three way locking system for Floyd users

See blocks of wood used as stops all the time but it does render the tremolo inoperable ? I just use an A/B box and have 2 guitars plugged in all the time one hardtail , one tremolo and it seems to work well.

Re: New three way locking system for Floyd users

Simple solution.....keep bridge full floating ALL the time. In the event of a broken string......switch to another guitar quickly wile the rest of the band holds down the grove, then keep on ROCKIN! Problem solved.... Hee, Hee
