Yeah It's gaudy but I love it and got it for a great price lol Its a 2010 Schechter Hellraiser Solo 6 in pretty good shape. Just need to decide if I wanna go with a set of Black Winters or EMG 57/66 pups. sorry in advance my pic taking skills suck.

I wouldn't call that gaudy...I've seen some out of this world guitars that would be offended to have this called gaudy ;) Congrats and enjoy!

I wonder what Black Winters with a Blackouts pre amp would sound like?

Re: New (to me) Guitar Day

The Black Winters are terrific pickups! They sound absolutely amazing, and sound much better than EMGs. Not hating on EMGs, I just find them rather boring

I keeping debating getting this set..I am a bit concerned about the process of switching from the quick connect to a regular set...I am no good with solder, etc

Re: New (to me) Guitar Day

Very nice guitar! It looks really good!

Recently I had a big surprise. All my guitars are superstrats and it was only one time in the past that I played an Epiphone LP. It felt so comfortable but I didn't pay attention to it back then as I didn't have a good experience in different models. Recently (after 10 years or so) I played another LP-type guitar and despite it was in a very bad condition it felt so comfortable like that one from the old times... Right away I spent quite some time playing a strat and then the LP over and over again, one after the other. I couldn't accept it lol, the LP was feeling almost like a natural extension of my hands... maybe it's time I get an LP-type guitar too...
