New (to me) H&K content

I have purchased an amp since the early 90s when I bought my Jubilee, as it was all I wanted/needed.

Few years ago H&K came out with the small Tubemeister heads and had my eye on them since then but didnt really have a need or the resources for one. The other day, my local shop got a 30th Anniversery Tubemeister 18 in for a good price. Took a ride over there his morn and it followed me home.

Now some have gone on and on about EL84 amps, well, I live in a townhouse thats really hard to get the Jube up to a volume that sounds great, with this lil guy, I can get it a volume thats sounds great and doesnt pi$$ off the neighbors or more importantly, my wife.

Even better, since I buy enough from the store, they knocked another $75 off the price, ended getting the amp for less than half what the 20 watt sells for new.

Awesome amp! I have been interested in H&K ever since I saw Lifeson play one live. It sounded fantastic. Unfortunately, you do not see them in the wild much and I am yet to play one.

My brother has one of the small H&k’s. I tested his mini boogie, evh, mini Marshall 800 and this. The H&K was my favorite OD tone. I was surprised, it blew me away

Just played with it for a bit, big bottom end, mids and treble are rounded, really digging it. Even ranba few pedals though i, honestly it handles the distortion pedals better than my Jube. For a lil amp, it sounds big and is rather loud even on the 1 watt setting.

Will I get rid of the Jube, nope, nothing will replace it, buts also getting long in the tooth and needs to get some rest before something major goes.

I have one of those and love it. Definitely a late evening player.

I find the tone controls to be very-wide range...which is unfortunate, but the thing sounds great and modern and awesome. Did you get the foot switch? I got a case, the foot switch and all for $300.

I keep my Visual Sound H2O in the loop and it just makes me play Limelight every time I plug it in. Very cool modern sound compared to my other amps.

Blue light is bad@$$ too.

Im amazed evn at 1 watt how quickly it gets sound esp thru my 2x12.

Yep came with the foot switch, which was still new in the box and the carry bag, had a peice of 400 on it, I paid 325 plus tax.

i stopped back in there is afternoon looking for pickup rings screws and they got another on in but has the remote control led lights in and associated remote.

Before I went down the Helix route I owned a Grandmeister 40 Deluxe. Coming from a Marshall, Peavey and Engl background, it's still my favorite amp so far.

Enjoy!

The H&K Triamp MKII has been one of my very favorites since the day they came out. I had a 20w TubeMeister for a while and it was very similar but I wanted more out of it so I tried a 40w. Of course, it lacked the complete low end of the big tube brother so I let it go. That was several years ago. Now that I've settled into playing and recording at home, with occasional band practice, I regret not realizing the value of Red Box/Recording features. Those are really great amps, so versatile, and channel 1 is immaculate when you crank the amp a little. Congratulations.
