New (to me) Les Paul Standard Faded.

I walked into a shop yesterday and saw a well played Standard Faded with some great flame going on...then saw the price and couldn't believe my luck.

After picking it up and strumming a couple times the deal was done. It is balanced and loud acoustically....notes bloom even without an amp. I brought it home and did a cleaning and setup then decided to give it the Gary Moore treatment. I still have to change out the control knobs if I decide to go for a more complete Moore treatment but the guitar is pretty close now.

The pickups are stock and are Burstbucker Pros and will be replaced in time but they are fine for now.

It is a smoking guitar

That thing is sweet, it too bad that with their hike in prices on the new ones all of the used ones will start getting more expensive. Good buy

Very nice, looks like it would be a joy to play. I like the worn/lemon look. Reminds me of a certain favored #1.

Highly underrated those faded standards. I had a great CSB version the year the introduced.

That is awesome. Lemon Burst right? I've seen some Standard Faded Lester's with the "Clown Burst" that look atrocious. But that right there is too sweet to be sour.

I just added a vintage spec set of pickup rings and toggle tip. I have an aged Tonepros nickel stop and bridge on the way and will be adding reflector knobs.

Nice. That looks great. I am thinking about putting some Historic rings on my new Trad (along with gold mirror tops).

Those are two nice axes. Especially the flame top.

I'm not a huge Les Paul fan, but Archer, you've got impeccable taste. All (3) of those things I'd be all over myself.

Those Faded models are nice. The finish I did on my SG Jr. Was inspired by those.
