Re: New (to me) Les Paul Standard Faded.
I have a 2006 LP Standard Faded and it just gets better each year, both in playability and looks.
I did switch out the tune-o-matic for a Callaham, the stock Burstbuckers (I really don't get on with Gibson stock pickups at all) for a set of SD 59's in Triple Shots, Peter Green mod and Series blend on push-pulls, tuners for Gotoh locking units and, finally, 50s wiring for the tone pots. All of that over the years rather than at once.
What was a quite lovely guitar is now one of the most flexible I own - it does what it's meant to do so well, but can also cover many, many more bases. Great live, even better recorded - congrats on getting the deal!
