Re: New to the forum, 8 year luthier

I'm not a fan of the styles because I'm over a hundred years old, but the craftsmanship and choice/ presentation of the woods is absolutely beautiful.

Ever made any furniture ?

That's exactly what I was thinking. The styling may not be for everybody but that's real craftsmanship, right there.

(FWIW, I dig the styling, too)

Not a problem, i realize the designs arnt going to resonate with every group of people. But thanks!

I havnt made any furniture before. Never interested me as much. My dad has made many couches, tables and shelves though.

You ever done a seven string? i love that style, and I'm trying to save up for a custom guitar. Good work there.

I havnt made any extended range stuff so far. I get a lot of interest in seven strings. It would cost quite a bit more, because i would need a lot of new templates and have to re design most stuff.

I am going to make a baritone 6 string soon though.

Ok, this one has to be a total screamer :firedevil. I see you've used the GFS brass bridge and tailpiece. Love the natural bevelled edge simulating binding. Zebrawood fingerboard?

I think the Schaller Hannes bridge would be a very nice fit for your guitars. It's a pricey piece of kit but awesome ergonomically and functionally.

The fretboard was also ash, that i filled the grain with black, to match the body.

That bridge is indeed pretty expensive. Unless i get an order and they are willing to pay the extra for it, its hard to pay that much for a bridge. A lot of time i cant make up cost of high end parts on a build when i sell it.

This one was sold to a friend. I had not even planned on completing it.

You could teach my friends at Skervesen how to design pointies! :foot: Funny as it is, I think your themes are somewhat convergent. Totally not my cup of tea, to be honest, but my hat's off to you.
