New TonePort

Re: New TonePort

Nice. Cool clip. What switch did you hit right at 20 seconds? I like that transition. It was all good.
Non-pretentious. Nice licks. :)

Re: New TonePort

Here are some patches of mine, and I threw VKs in there as well, he posted his a while back in some other thread. If you want the best tones, use the stomp boxes for most of your rhythm tones, namely the screamer. The classic is ok but dont use much drive.

haha, I just listened to it again, and "non-pretentious" is right... that was AWFUL!

I guess we're all our own biggest critics...

I was playing a Squier '51 and switched from bridge humbucker to neck single coil - stock pickups.

All clips recorded with the Squier '51, best $99 you can spend!

Re: New TonePort

I do not know for sure but I did that line6 spider monkey and it said I had 480 or something like that. I am going to look into it more. My dad built the computer so it has an overclocked processor and all that good stuff, but that was like 5 years ago when he built it from spare parts.

I am not a computer nerd like him so I do not really konw what to look for

Re: New TonePort

well, I looked into it it says on the card
VALUE RAM
KVR a whole lot of numbers/512

what does this mean if yall know

Re: New TonePort

hmmm wow, so I have this software called sandra that tells me down the the temperature what is going on in my computer and it says I have a 512MB card and all the other necessary requierments. Maybe I should pull the trigger.

Re: New TonePort

Trust me, you dont need 512mb of ram. I ran mine on my moms old pos hp that has only 128 and it ran fine, but changing settings in the program was a little sluggish haha.

Re: New TonePort

yeah, I guess I just cant believe it only costs 70 bucks. How does it compare to the podxt

Less amp / stompbox / cabinet models, less I/O options

It's made for desktop recording and headphone practice - and if that's what you want, it's great.

I'm not expecting mine to be the processor from hell, or a flexible CAI, I just want to practice with headphones and record for fun - it hits the nail on the head for that.

Re: New TonePort

Yeah I am really just a guitar cable and an amp kinda guy. I guess maybe one of these bad boys can help me find what I am looking for.
