I just finished this one, it blends lots of 70s themes, including analog synth, which has become a huge bit of fun for me. The song is hard rock in it's roots, but has some wanderings.... I am useing a 71 Traynor Bassmaster on it, just perfect for this vibe.....

The CTS Alnico speaker has a ton to do with that sound, it has squish, but no mud. It is far and away the best sounding speaker I have used. It is a mid 60s and I have not seen another of its model. So I am doomed if I blow it.

The drummer is a human ( a shock these days!!) Rikki Davenport, he is so essiential to the vibe of my tunes, he just attacks it while always being extremely funky. I am very lucky to have crossed paths with him.

I decided to go Don Landee with where I placed the bass. I love the VHII album, and for this tune, liked it tucked away, just a bit. I don't do it on every song, but with this one, I decided to roll with it a bit lower.

Angel is always in rotation, what I love about their key sounds, is that they were there, whether or not it was to the benefit of the tune. I love that slightly tacky production value, the laser sounds I have were copped from Angel. They have my favorite synth sounds in the hard rock realm.

I am gonna need an extra scoop for all those nanners....

Killer track K-man. That guitar in the beginning is brutal. The sound is perfect. The solos are kicking--the sound as well as the playing.
