Just finished this one. I gotta say, I don't know if I have heard a better drum take than the one Rikki Davenport lays down on this one. The grooves he lays down at the end of the track, just drop my jaw everytime I here em.

I am useing a Squier Tele on this one, just for a change of pace. The amp is my Risson ETA I got a few months back. The more I use that amp, the more I love it!! Weber mass in play as well. I am having a bunch of fun with my new ( old) synth. It is an old Roland Juno II that is a blast to dial in freak sounds. :scared:

Great as allways dude!The first lead work sounds amazing ,and yeah the drummer has the "70's" groove going on.And he does it extreme well!
The song has amazing groove and definition!
I love it!One of the best things you ever did!

very nice. The opening riff has some of that Mississippi Queen grind to it.

Wow, BBQ I really appreciate it. When Rikki laid those drums out, I knew the tune was gonna be cool, they set the vibe for the whole tune IMO. Made my end of it much easier!

For the bucks, I really think an 80s Alpha Juno II is a heck of a deal. I interface is kinda putzy, but the range of freak sounds at your disposal, with a ton of save patches makes it really cool. I got it for 125.00, for true analog sounds, it is a crazy deal. Vintagesynth.com has a bunch of reviews, well worth looking at. It would be fun to have something older, but I spend all my extra $$$ on amps.

ALWAYS>, I use probably 3-4 licks. Pretty much pentatonic with a pinky. In the old days, I thought much harder about lead playing and ultimately stopped enjoying it as much. I now go for as many 1st takes as poss, like playing w/o quite knowing what is gonna happen. It is more fun for me keeping it simple.

I am useing a Radio Shack PZM into my KORG D32XD, use the KORG pre, which IMO do a real nice job.

That guitar is way-fat bro! Great playing, very punchy... always with your signature style. Definitely some Jeff Beck influence in there too. That kick drum is perfect for this groove.

You guys did a great job at getting a warm analog sound on this one.
