New Upgrade Day

Not really much of an upgrade as it didnt take much effort to install.. well I did this sunday night but have been too lazy to post it.. I decided to put it in the most versatile guitar I own.. The modded squire.. This pot was a tad on the expensive side for what it is I guess.. But I like it and spent like an hour on my randalls clean channel.. just messing with the pot ..AND yes i like the cloth insulated wire as all the guitars I wire use it.. Takes some getting used too though..

Thinking about getting some more actually when funds allow.. i really want to rewire my #1 again... the wiring scheme i designed isn't working out.. I think ill either go with a standard V/T/T or a variation of that by wiring the bridge pickup directly and just using a volume for the neck and middle OR try a Andy Timmons style wiring with a n/m volume,master volume,tone

Not an ordinary pot by any means. Why the different design?

its a high pass/low pass tone pot.. just wanted something with a bit of tonal variety w/o going active

Cool stuff - don't be afraid of adding an active preamp to a passive system though, it's basically the exact same thing as getting a boost pedal except you control it on the guitar vs. With your feet.

In fact, both the EP and SHO are simple enough circuits that you could fit them into your existing cavity without having to change the routing. I'm thinking about putting a push-pull activated SHO with the battery door in the backplate of my les Paul. Works great with humbuckers so why not have it right there at the fingertips?
