New Valvetronix...wow.

Was just at GC picking up a few cables, new strap, etc. I saw the new Peavey Vyypr and gave it a spin, bad. Then I heard some dude wailing down the row and i was like, "dang, what's he playing through." I walk around the corner and it's an employee testing out the wee little new 15 watt Valvetronix amp.

I was stunned how big the 15 watt sounded and the high gain sounds were light years ahead of the ADxxVT and XL series. The Marshall models sounded much better too. The effects sounded better too.

I would highly recommend checking these out, I was pretty stunned compared to my old AD30VT which I just sold luckily before these new ones came out. The old models I think will become worthless.

I saw the 30 watter at GC while I was there just a bit ago. It's the only one they had in the store for now. Once they get the 50 watter I'll check it out.

I have the older ad15 version; tried out the vypyr 30 and really wanted to like it, but my ad15 still beat it. Need to really try the newer version though.....

Cubes and Valvetronix are cool amps...I wouldn't buy a stock solid state anymore.

Re: New Valvetronix...wow.

What is different with the newest version? Did Vox make a change?

I'm curious, because I did not like the old AD30VT at all...sounded muffled.

Is it the "Valvetronix VT15?"

AD30VT had a terrible speaker. That was considered the worst of the VT line.

New one is a considerable step up.
