New video in a long time. Die to Live (Steve Vai)

Re: New video in a long time. Die to Live (Steve Vai)

The tone isn't as fat as the original but it IS less saturated and a tad more dynamic, which I think lends a cool sound to the riffs.

Stock pickups?

yeah they're stock ibz/dimarzio. It's guitar rig 2. It's very hard to get a smooth sound using emulation software. It's still buzzy, nomatter how you slice it. But i'm gonna try guitar rig 3 soon :) Maybe i'm not using the right effects to get a smooth, even sound, but i'll find out soon.

Hey, very nice, smooth playing. Tone is pretty tight also!

Very nice!! Love the grainy open tone, playing is spot on, to the point that it sounds like you wrote the track.

What vid software are you using, I am looking for something for my next vid...

Thanks guys.

I am using Cyberlink Power Director 7. Its working pretty smooth ( very rarely crashes ). The only issue with it that I had was: when you are working with long movie clips - DVD length, the software can freeze for 30 seconds at a time while doing very simple actions like cropping or moving.

Other than that, it has a good line of video effects and file formats. I used a pip track for myself, a video track for the nature vid, and an audio track for the cakewalk audio dump. To the pip track, I essentially made it black and white and increased sharpness of the picture, then i used transparency.
