Well... I just went in to get some new strings!

For a while I've wanted to trade my Line6 Spider in for... something better. I really wanted a DSL 401 combo, but funds prevented me from getting one. While I was there I decided to try out some amps... a few marshall mgs were there, nice, but a little buzzy on high gain channel...

didn't think I'd want another modeling amp, but tried the AD30 Valvetronix... GREAT!!! I've been looking for that tube sound... and this actually is a tube amp. With modelled preamps. It actually sounds like a "real" valve amp.
got a great deal on it too I've owned it for 5 minutes, so a real review is to come. But so far I really, really like it.

Anyone got anything else to say about the ad30vt? anyone think I made a mistake?

No mistake, it's a fun little amp. I got mine about a month ago. I like most everything about it. For home use it's better than my AD60 with the 12 inch speaker and 60 watts. The AD30 is a cool little modelling amp. Vox Rocks!!
