New Zoom H4N test

Brought my H4n to my buddies last night to see how it does in a band situation. Used it in the stereo mode and am pretty pleased with the results. I'm going to be picking up a couple SM57's to direct mic the guitar and bass, and set the unit in front of the drums for the onboard mics to pick those up. I did put the track into Reaper and EQ it a little. I was playing thru my drummers new Fender Champion 100 that he bought earlier in the day. He wanted me to check it out, and I forgot that I had the mids cut a bit when it came time for us to jam.

Here's a buzzed version of a Stone's song. We've actually never played this with everyone together......and it shows, haha. Good Frickin' time though. And that's all that matters to me.

Ha! I forgot we even did this song. It was near the end of the night......foggy hour.

I'm finding the stuff I recorded sounds better through headphones. not so much through my phone or computer speakers. I had the record volume down quite a bit, because the H4n would clip far too quick if not.
