Newbie VLX91 question

Help!
Apologies if this is an old question. I am looking to restore an Ibanez RG8420ZD back to its original pickup configuration.

I would be most grateful if someone could point me in the right direction for a wiring diagram for:-

Two SD pickups with one tone one volume, Ibanez OTAX VLX91.

I have seen this switch on several older posts but no diagram and I'm afraid I am a total newbie with this so much of the tech jargon is over my head.

Many thanks, H

Thanks Hsb and hwiho2002 both for the wiring diagrams. I'll start with these and see what happens. I'm guessing the that I need to be mindful of the wire colours in the Dmarzio/ibz being different to the SD. Thanks

The seymour duncan wiring is actually not what you're looking for. Seeing as the red and white are terminated together, rather than separate, I'm guessing it just splits the coils in positions 2 and 4, no parallel wiring.

With the ibanez diagram one thing to note is you'll probably need to install one of the pickups backwards, as I believe one splits to the screw coil and the other to the slug in position 2. I'm not sure which one.

...or they may both split to the same coil in which case you don't need to install one of the pickups backwards, but you'll need to flip one of the magnets to reverse the polarity to retain humcancelling in position 2.

It's messy, I know.

hwiho2002 Thanks for that. I have now slightly lost the plot! I may be some time!

After having some coffee and looking at this diagram
vlx91.jpg
it looks in the ibanez diagram I provided the neck is wired with the white lead (south finish) as the hot and black lead (north finish) as the ground. So in position 2 of the switching the neck does indeed split to the south (screw) coil, while the bridge splits to the north (slug) coil.

So you won't need to flip any magnets, but you will need to install the neck pickup backwards (with the screw coil towards the bridge) if you want both inner coils in position 2.

That is awesome, that make sense I have looked at images and it does indeed look as though the screws are bridge side! Thanks again hwiho2002!
