Man, you have been busy! Talk about versatility..... Pure awesomeness.

Re: Newest Builds................

nice.

you need a better place to take pictures though dude. that chair, and the dim lighting are doing NO favours for the colours on those guitars.

Re: Newest Builds................

Ah...........gentlemen. Last Wednesday I brought a couple of guitars with me to my local Guitar Center to show and I met someone who is somewhat famous. I met Lloyd Grant who played second lead guitar with Metallica on the song "Hit The Lights." I walked up and introduced myself and asked if he would like to play my guitar and he said he would. I handed him the guitar and he wailed. He asked what I would charge for that particular guitar and he approved. He then asked if I could build him a flying V. Here is a photo of the guitar he played.

VERY cool stuff! I'm intrigued by this pickup configuration, having the dime in the center between P-90s. How did you come up with it? What are your switch positions doing? Can you describe how it sounds (I know, that's a tough one). What do you see yourself using the most?

REALLY cool... I find myself being a little envious! :fing2:

Thanks. I had been trying Ceramic magnet pickups along with Alnico magnet pickups. I sometimes do the same thing with speakers. The Black Korina body guitar is a build replacing a carved top Mahogany body tele partscaster that I sold.

This guitar had a Bill Lawrence X500XL in between two Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90s. When a P90 is combined with a Ceramic magnet pickup, you get the girth of the P90 and the clarity from the middle pickup. The new build I wanted to maintain all Seymour Duncan pickups because Seymour's are my favorite. The pickup selections are a normal neck, neck-middle, middle, middle-bridge, bridge pickup. I like the sound of every position but the neck-middle and middle bridge always sounds unique, bold yet articulate. I enjoy having my guitars being very versatile for tone's sake.
