I like this setup. Very nice.
With the 50's wiring, you may find the P90's get really bright rolling the volume back. I came across that with my two P90 builds so I moved the tone control back to the lug where the pickup connects (SG Junior and LP Junior DC - one P90 each). I like it much better that way. Just an FYI.
What kind of bridge is on it? Is that top loading or string thru?
It is a little bright unless I roll off the treble a bit. .022pf. The bridge is a Schaller top-loading, one of my favorite bridges with roller saddles and complete lateral adjustment on each roller to adjust for string spacing.
That's the same value cap I used in my two P90 guitars. Heck, I use that in everything...lol.
I thought that might be a Schaller bridge but wasn't 100%.
I would recommend the Schialler bridge.
If I ever do another build I'll look at using that one. Don't think that'll be for a long time after getting this Goldtop Les Paul.
I've used that top loading Schaller roller bridge on a dozen of my builds. Very solid. Love the spacing adjustibility of the rollers. No complaints that I can think of except it's a bit expensive (although not as expensive as many big-name bridges).
I've gone and built another telecaster. Warmoth Black Korina body capped with Padouk, Warmoth Padouk neck, Rosewood fretboard, stainless steel frets reverse headstock, Seymour Duncan vintage and custom P90s with 50s wiring.
Wow, that's gotta be the darkest canarywood I've ever seen. Is it stained?
Here she blows
Canary wood feels oily and slick with no finish at all on it
