Next guitar...any suggestions?

I'm gassing for a new guitar, but im not sure what I want. Right now as you can see in my sig. I have a LP standard and a MIA strat. I mainly play emo and hardcore music, but I also play alot of blues and jazz in my spare time. What suggestions do you have for my next guitar? Any help is appreciated.

Of Course the RIGHT Paul Reed Smith! That is if money is no object. If it is just to get you through the in between the other guitars, heck an Ibanez might squeeze you through.

I notice that alot of the new "emo" and "screamo" bands tend to favor LP Customs with the ebony board. But, you can always get a Standard or another Strat, and mod the hell out of it. For jazz, a LP and Strat work well, same with blues, and you can always put a Hotrails in the bridge of a strat for emo. I guess what I'm really trying to say is a Tele w/ a Phatcat in the neck and A Lil 59 in the bridge. LOL

How much do you want to spend?

I would suggest Hamer Artist Custom, Hamer Monaco Superpro Or a Gibson 335 but these are all expensive so let us know what sort of money you've got?

tele or some semi or hollowbody of some kind.........maybe an Epi Casino or similar type

Yeah id get a shred machine, one that doesnt look like it belongs to motley crue but that is a tasty looking 80s shred machine. I rekon every guitar collection needs one, they are great to just pick up and go nuts on and the right one can be very very versatile and awesome in a number of applications.

Like a really nice ESP or Jackson, there are some great ones around.

I'm willing to spend anywhere up to $1000. I was considering a shred guitar but im not sure if it is the best bet for me. I'm thinking about the ESP LTD MH-400 or the Jackson DK27. But i'm not sure if i should get a shred guitar.

It all depends what kind of tones you really want to be getting out of your new guitar. I'd get a hollowbody or a tele myself if I were you. A tele covers different bases, but because of the simple look... I bet it'd be awesome for emo/screamo type rock. A hollowbody has been used by bands like Sugarcult so maybe that's an idea too. That way should you decide to try something like jazz, it will cover that flawlessly as well.

I think a LP will already cover your rock base very well. If you love shredding, than maybe an Ibanez or ESP or Jackson will work, but if you want to really delve into other genres, it won't cut it.

id still get a nice tele or semi hollowbody which will run you around 600-800......and maybe save a little more with the remainder and buy a $300-$400 shred guitar and upgrade it

I've got the Schecter and the SG....so I'm considering a hollowbody for my next guitar. I want a completely different voicing in my arsenal. I'm looking at the Schecter E/A and the Hamer Duotone. I love the fact they come with humbuckers and a piezo pickup.

butnut is selling a killer P-90 guitar, it's a hot-rodded Dillion 56GT LP copy that'll knock your socks off if your into doing blues stuff.
