Re: NFD. More Warmoth love...
I need to give credit to Mike Mascagna of Telenator for assembling "Blue." Here's the story.
1. Got my 1st Warmoth build, the lesquire, finished by RS Guitarworks, with a tele scale neck. Wasn't feelin it and ordered the maple clear finish neck with no dots. The pale white looked ridiculous with the burst. Started trolling ebay for a neck. Instead I found the unpainted lp/floyd body.
2. Bought the body for a steal, always wanted a blue burst, realized the neck would be a perfect fit, and it already had the gibson headstock... My buddy Mike was nice enough to put the floyd nut on the neck for me.
3. Was going to send it back to Warmoth for a finish when Mike recommended Marc Stol for the paint job, who lived only 20 miles away.
4. In the meantime, I ordered the vintage tint neck for the lesquire. I ordered it about 3 hours after warmoth stopped making gibson headstocks, ergo, it has a warmoth head. That's loaded with a callaham bridge and BG1400.
5. Blue started with an AT-1 in the bridge. That lasted about 20 minutes and I put my CS 78 in with a Dimarzio Area 67 in the neck. A brass block and tremolno are on order.
I'm sure as soon as I post this I'll recall some critical detail. Thanks to everyone for the supportive comments!
Jim
